GEO. LAIRD & CO OLEO-CHYLE
Geo. W. Laird & Co.
New York NY Circa 1880s to 1890s
According to the NY Times...
Laird was originally with Kidder &
Laird from 1877 to 1884. In 1884 he left
that firm and started GEO. W LAIRD & CO.
with John Cracknell. He kept his BLOOM OF YOUTH face cream product as a
separate enterprise when he started selling OLEO-CHYLE. The milk glass

bottles are fairly rare and not often seen.
His firm failed in 1887 and was disposed to pay his debts. The product was
apparently still advertised and sold into the 1890s.

Oleo-Chyle was a predigested cod liver oil product
intended for feeding people suffering from consumption and other wasting
diseases.
This ad is from 1885 and shows laird's

It was advertised as having no damage but I was disappointed to receive it
