#1267 -  BRANT'S PURIFYING EXTRACT  DIXON CLARKS & HALLETT PROPRIETORS NEW YORK

      New York NY.   Circa 1860s

The Brant's bottles are always impressive because of their size. This is a new variant I have not listed before. DIXON CLARKS & HALLETT apparently took over from MT WALLACE around 1860 and sold the product at least during the Civil War period.
Some of the Brant's bottles are marked CLARK and not CLARKS. I dont know if this was an error or if it signified multiple family members were partnered. The product was originally known as Brant's Indian Purifying Extract but the "Indian" was dropped around the end of the 1850s.
