#1233 INDIAN SAGWA HEALY & BIGELOW John H. Healy and Charles H. Bigelow Clintonville Conn. Circa 1880s Healy and Bigelow probably started making
medicines together sometime in the mid 1880s. They made use of Indians in
medicine shows which were very popular. The medicine shows toured all over
the country peddling the remedy. They moved their business to Clintonville
in 1901 where it became known as the Kickapoo Indian Medicine Company Inc.
This bottle was one of the last ones made before the Food & Drug Act of
1906 drastically changed patent medicine advertising. The Hood Company
later bought out the Kickapoo Medicine Company. Bottle Description : Tooled ring
