VICTOR REMEDIES COMPANY
The Victor Remedies Company was started by Victor
Koontz in Frederick City probably in the late 1870s or early 1880s.
Here is an 1882 ad for the medicine line.
Around the end of 1882 the rights to Victor Remedies were purchased By Dr P D
Fahrney.
P D Fahrney changed some of the product names around in particular adding a
flagship product "Victor Liver Syrup" derived from the Fahrney family legacy
medicine formulas (the old blood purge). This medicine line put P D Fahrney into
competition with his other relative who were already selling patent medicines.
Later in the 1880s P D Fahrney bought the rights to American Standard Ink
formerly produced by the Frederick Manufacturing Co.

According to the adds, Victor Liver Syrup, the blood and liver
purge, purifies the blood, renovates the liver and acts upon the
bowels, thereby cleansing the entire system.
